Fixed Odds Investments Forex Signal Service Review

Clear set and forget Fixed Odds signals, usually 7 days in duration delivered at any time of day although most of ours came between 18:00 and 22:00 UK Local time. Returns per trade were from 20% - 40% per trade and we risked 5% of our balance per trade. Performance wise we did some analysis on the Year To Date figures, available if requested. We noted about an average over the year of about a 5% - 10% return with a few periods of drawdown to about 5% down at one stage. During our trial which we ran for about 6 weeks we were about break-even on our account. We feel this service is open and honest, signals are clear, easy to execute and are pure set and forget. However, results were quite mixed and we would have liked a fixed time for the signals rather than having them arrive at any time of the day.

True FX Forex Signal Service Review

We signed up for just the majors and received clear signals as promised at 05:00 UK Local time which we typically placed around 07:00, as near to waking up time as possible. This didn’t affect performance too much, some we lost, some we won, etc. It's a 5 minute job to place orders and close all open positions. You see, there are predefined stops for each trade but no target, each open position is closed out before you enter the next days order, simple! Orders not trigerred by 18:00 are cancelled. The price tag is a little high for this service but it could be worth it based on the amount of effort required, especially if performance is consistent and one can get within 25% of the (reported) performance statistics, which we did.

Louise Woof Fool Proof Evening Trading System Review

As usual, from the Louise Woof camp, a very well written 67 page document. This system is based on the DOW and a 5 minute chart using just one indicator and price action. Implementation is easy, Entry and Stop are crystal clear but Exit is not, there are a choice of 3 different exit strategies. We also couldn't get a clear answer from Louise upon which exit strategy the results on the website were based on. This together with the, what we considered, very strange Entry methodology, meant we did little more than by-pass this system.

BOM Signals Forex Signal Service Review

A Fixed Odds, set and forget signal service, well, two actually. There is a Core service and a 100% Club service, both are completely free (for email delivery) with a £10 monthly fee for SMS (if required). Trades for the Core service return between 30% - 50% per trade and so far this year there have been 7 winners and no losers. Trades for the 100% Club return 100% and there is a signal every day. The performance this year is no where near the 75% return achieved in 2008, actually its showing a 5% loss. Most trades are 7 days in duration and are delivered between 08:00 & 09:00 and 18:00 & 19:00 UK Local time. This is a completely free, open and honest service which we use. However, although the Core service is impressive we are not so sure the 100% Club can be as profitable as it was in 2008.

Forex Trades Live Signal Service Review

Signals are sent between 07:00 & 15:00 UK Local time and are for GBP/USD. Target is 32 pips and Stop is from 80-100 so 3 winners are wiped out by 1 loser. There is usually sufficent time to get orders in, although we did miss one trade as the price moved so quickly by the time we could react. Our 100 pips (now 200) profit came in just over a week, however, we did notice that if we had joined a month prior, because of draw-downs, we would still not be 100 pips in profit, we were quite fortunate with our timing it seems. So, we could probably use this service if performance was to return to previous levels of profitability and thus we could justify being constantly available from 07:00 - 15:00 every day.

PLEASE NOTE: Since our review the risk reward has been improved with a target of 72 now the norm, which is much more reasonable for a 80-100 pip risk per trade. Performance also seems to be improving slightly too.

Forex Mobster Trading System Review

A 55 page manual that is clear and easy to read. The system is traded on the 4 hour (anchor) and 1 hour (for entry) time-frames and uses just 2 industry standard indicators. Set up is easy (on MT4), Entries and Exits are clear and 100% mechanical with some discretion required for initial Stop loss. Limited back-testing across 6 popular pairs and about 2 weeks of real-time trading left us about break-even and for sure were not hitting the 94% win rate mentioned on the web-site. We found that Entries and Exits to be quite late and without catching a very strong trend that this system would struggle somewhat.

LMT (Dean Saunders) Trading System Review

A well written concise manual combined with a MT4 template (indicators and templates provided) that makes the system about 95% mechanical, Entries, Stops and Exits. Can be operated on the Daily or 4 Hour timeframe and is a very relaxed way of trading. Back-testing is not really feasible but after 3 weeks or so live trading on a 4 Hour chart we added this to our Systems We Use list. We cannot trade the Daily charts (most recommended) as we are UK based and the Daily charts close out at midnight (we need our beauty sleep). We also maintain a journal for this system on our website.

Forex Invasion Trading System Review

The 38 page manual is well written and Entries, Stops and Targets are quite clear based on divergence and two industry standard indicators. We looked into the 4 hour and 1 hour timeframes and found the 4 hour was probably just over break-even over a few months but with very very few trades. On the 1 hour timeframe this system seems to hold up better with trades being more frequent and profitable (but this negates the "few minutes of your time each week" headline). In general, depending on your trading style and timeframe some aspects of this system may compliment what you are already doing.

5 EMA's Forex Trading System Review

A massive, quite well written, manual - 147 pages. Uses 1 hour and 15 minute time-frames and, not 5 EMA's, but about 6 other indicators, MA's, Williams, MACD, RSI, etc. Just way too complicated for us, even though it came with MT4 templates. Back-testing was really hard (impossible) and attempting to trade this is real-time well, there was just too much going on for our liking. We prefer systems to be more straight forward than this.

Easy Trade Forex Trading System Review

A 48 page manual which we doubt is written by someone who's native language is English, nevertheless, it is comprehensible enough. Recommended time-frame is 4 hours but the system "has been successfully tested for any time frame". System is based on a rudimentary version of Fibonacci which is used to forecast a "Power Turn Point". As the methodology behind this system just didn't make sense to us we didn't back-test or attempt to use this system in real-time.

Forex Confidante Forex Trading System Review

The 98 page manual is clearly written by someone close to the markets. For those new to trading it offers a great introduction to much of what the industry is about and how it works. Daily charts and 1 hour charts are used with Daily being the "anchor" and the hourly used for more precise analysis. The core of the system is Price action, Trend lines and Finonacci, so no "lagging" indicators. The system is quite mechanical with trades being placed around 13:30 UK local time. However, we didn't get/agree/understand (call it as you wish) the theory behind this system so never traded it in real-time.
